Mahapari Incense Sticks
These fair trade Tibetan incense sticks have all been handmade in Nepal and have been hand rolled using traditional methods.
These ancient traditions dictate that the incense be made with no inner stick. This means that the scent becomes less diluted due to the smell of burning bamboo giving off a fuller flavour.
Mahapari is the highest level of Nirvana or life after death and this incense is often used to aid relaxation and as an offering to to Buddhist deities.
The making of this incense was originally made by Tibetan herbal masters until the recipe gets passed on. It is then made under strict control of those entrusted with the secrets of the great great medicinal herbs.
Due to the nature in which this traditional incense is made, they cannot be used in your standard holder – they need to be used with a holder that can accommodate a thicker base. If you don’t have a holder, they can be stood upright in a pot of sand or soil.
Each boxed set contains a small holder.
